What is the difference between a POP3 account and my regular email account?

What is the difference between a POP3 account and the standard forwarding account that comes with a child web?

What if someone misspells my email account name or handle?

What if I cancel my account?

How do I renew my account?

Renewal is done automatically using the credit card you use when you set up the account.  Renewal will continue until such time that you cancel the account and no longer have access to the service.  

What email names are available?

You can use any name you want as long as it hasn't already been used or reserved within the LongIslandOnline.net POP3 email addresses.  For example: sportboat @ LongIslandOnline.net would be fine even if http://sportboat.com was already taken on the Internet.  Almost all branded names are available again as a POP3 email address under the LongIslandOnline.net umbrella.    Go to order form *

Are there any restrictions on the email account?

You have a 5 MB limit to your mailbox size.  If you use an email program to download (or POP) your email account you will then transfer the messages off the server each time you get your email.  If you only use the web based browser to access you email you may need to keep an eye on the total space used.  Basically the email server is not for long-term storage of messages.
